Tokyo Layover

The layover in Tokyo was supposed to be over in a few minutes, but our plane is stuck in Guam due to weather. So....... we sit and wait...... I tried to post a video on here, but the stupid thing isn't working. So...... that is all for now - we sit and we wait.

The way I are

With my trip to the far east upon me, I have adopted a more clean shaven approach to my hair. Gone is my beloved skunk mohawk and in it's place is the ole Sgt. Savage look. My mother thinks I look great and my wife thinks it looks terrible so when I get back guess what I'll be growing back?? Yes, fear not, delicate reader, I shall return darker and ready to re-grow my famous/trendy/sexy hairdo. Stay tuned to TopherFletcher.blogspot.com for all the latest updates from afar........

New Jersey and their system of roads

Now...... if you know me, you know that I am not a fan of the NJ road layout or the way they have infringed on my right, as an American, to take a left turn. HOWEVER, they have stooped to an all new low...... Tonight, as I drove south on the NJ turnpike, I contemplated how we, the paying public, are paying money to drive on a highway being run by someone who can't see past the ends of their noses. We started at exit 11 and arrived at the 13th wonder of the world - exit 10 where the road branched into cars only and a cars and trucks lane. Now, this may make good sense to you in the beginning- "of course," you say, "keep those darned trucks out of my lane and give them their own area to swerve around in." You would be correct in thinking it is good to have fewer trucks, however, you (and the NJ transit authority) would have forgotten that the way IN is only as good as the way OUT. See, all those trucks and cars have to come together...... I present as evidence exit 8. Traffic at a stand still as 6 lanes of traffic merge into 3. Why? Why not add two lanes, drop the dividers and have traffic drive the same speed. This simple solution would do away with the merge jam and even leave fewer lanes for the geniuses to clean up. Frankly, I am not sure they can count and would surely not notice the lane change. I have left the disinterested/inept/unfriendly morons who take your change and miscount it out of tonight's tirade. We will get to them later. What happens if I run?? Would they notice or care or be fast enough to move their fat butts to come after me?

Thanksgiving and Rugby

On an American holiday, my brothers and I decided to shun our American roots for a couple of hours and try a foreign feast of violence - Rugby. Prior to immersing ourselves in the river of gluttony that is our favorite holiday, we made room by pounding each other with some of our closer pals....... turns out the Australians are on to something.
