Dallas Cowboys

The best piece I have read on the demise of the Dallas Cowboys comes courtesy of the Dallas News.  Poor Jerry Jones needs to let someone spend his millions and watch from the box.  End of story

"The List"

A cathartic experience that few actually undertake.  I am, of course, preaching to the choir, but there is something to be said for digesting your thoughts into a readable, coherent form.  It's easy to roll things around in your head, but to take the time to commit them to paper/blog is another step entirely.
Seems we don't have enough time to think on things other than "the list."  Those who have "the list," but also have time for other things are those who create.  Everyone can manage "the list," but few have the courage or daring to venture from just doing and wonder, "how could I do this better?  Is there a cheaper or faster way?"  If you are a slave to "the list," prepare to be a middle manager, at best.  If you can work on "the list" while still having time for creativity and the bravado to try something every now and again, then you just mind find yourself in the land of results.

Customer Service

Read an interesting piece today on answering the phone.  Seth Godin, renowned business blogger, wrote an excellent entry on his blog yesterday about the simple science of being available to speak with your customers.  Nice.
